One the way to a new me!

Posted 03-05-2008 at 02:38 PM by IndyRobinC
Ok, so not a totally new me. My husband is still hoping I am a dork and have a great sense of humor when this is over with. I think he also secretly hopes I will still be clumsy because my misteps gives him so many good laughs in a week. But I am hoping the part of me who has been nick names crackly knees for the sounds my knees make when walking will be gone. Along with the out of breath when doing something other than walking person is gone. I am on my way!

Just 5 days until I have laproscopic roux en y gastric bypass. I am just 25 years old, 5'6 and 276 pounds. I have high blood pressure, terrible arthritis in my knees, hips, back, neck and hands (pretty much everywhere), fibromylagia, and some of the worst acid reflux. The high blood pressure is new, diagnosed on my 25 birthday (happy birthday!) but everything else I have been dealing with since I was 11 so I will be happy to have a life that pain is less of a daily focus.

I married my wonderful husband, Chris, on September 30, 2007. He is planning on having the surgery a few weeks after me, we are just waiting on his date now.

I have a personal website at www.chrisandrobincrumpacker.com that I plan to blog on as well, but honestly I feel there are things I can type here, that I would never type on a website that my coworkers and family plan to read.
