Sad, sad news

Posted 12-10-2007 at 07:35 PM by Eseret
Today I learned that one of my former students had passed away last Thursday.

Dayhna was 25 and had spent the majority of her life morbidly obese. When she left school she probably weighed over 300 pounds and was 5'1". Her father told me Dayhna actually gained more weight after school and had spent the past 3 years basically sitting and eating.

Thankfully, she did not suffer from pain and died in her sleep.

It makes me wonder about the students I see on the campus who are obviously overweight and some obese. Will their lives be cut short too?

I'm so grateful for my tool and giving myself the opportunity to extend my life.

::hugs:: I'm so sorry for you and for your former student and her family. What a nightmare...and something all too close for comfort!

Awww.... this is a sad story! I feel quite blessed to live to be 56 with little to no health issues related to all this weight I am lugging around, and have been lugging around for years. Not all are as fortunate as me... I will say a prayer for Dayhna tonight... and send you loving hugs!!!

That is sad Iam sorry for you and I will say a prayer for your student. All to well society outcasts obese women and men, and makes them too often seek a sheltered homelife and this is what sadly happens. I will say a prayer for you as well as for Dayhna. God Bless Tammy
