Surgery in Less than 17 hours

I am reporting to the hospital tomorrow at 5:30am central time for my surgery that starts at 8am. Its been an interesting journey so far & I know that journey is only going to get more intense in the next 17 hours. I first saw the dietitian August 15, 2016, weighing in at 397lbs. Before I started my two week (2/21/2017) liquid diet, I was 355lbs. and now today, I am now 335lbs (62 lbs. lighter since August). That is a far cry (91Lbs. difference) from my highest recorded weight of 426lbs.in September 2014.
I want to say a big thank you to all the admins & those who have given me so much support and advice on here. Onto the next step of this journey,,,,,

You've done so well already, you're really going to shine with surgery on your side as well. I hope everything goes perfectly. Happy healing!

Wow, I can't wait to follow you on this leg of your journey.  I personally just started blogging my own journey, but I'm just beginning pre-op.  You've done a great job losing weight prior to your upcoming operation!  I can't wait to hear where you'll go!  Here's hoping for steady hands and quick healing.

What type of surgery will you be having?  Good luck!

Just now finally feeling somewhat human again. Was discharged yesterday afternoon and slept in my own bed for the first time in days (barely slept the night before surgery). Getting nine hours of sleep does wonders for the body. I had the gastric bypass done which I am hoping with exercise and proper diet will ease some of my health problems. Sleep apnea, narrowing of the neck & lumbar area, hypertension, BMI > 50, plus too many to list.
Today is dedicated to getting back to my 3 shakes a day, drinking my 64 ounces of fluids, and maybe trying to eat at least 2 ounces of light yogurt.
Today is just one step of many steps in this journey of mine. I hope all of you luck in your journeys and the strength to overcome the challenges that will try to derail your progress.

Thanks to Gretta, Jen581791, & Obsidian; as well as all those who took the time to read this blog, liked it and wish me well.

Glad to hear it went well. Take it easy on yourself: 3 shakes, 64oz of fluids, plus yogurt sounds awfully ambitious for your new tummy! I hope your fluids are going down well and you're getting plenty of rest.

My high weight was also 426! Congratulations on your success thus far. It's a long road, but it feels so good to find your healthy self again.

Glad you went through and came out the other side!  Just remember, the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.  You've already completed one journey, now you're starting a second!  Keep positive and keep reminding yourself of your goals and why you went through with this in the first place.  If someone tries to chip away at your progress or rain on your parade, don't give them the time of day.  At the end of the day you're responsible for you, and if people want to hate, they're going to regardless.  Everyone else wishes you well and good luck!
