Epidural on Weds. Pls. pray

Posted 12-01-2008 at 11:53 PM by dvdwende
I had the MRI and the diagnosis was spinal stenosis, bulging discs and arthritis!!! I was expecting to hear that I had pulled a muscle!!!

I had the first series of "17 trigger injections" in my muscles last Weds. Not fun but worth it. I had a few days of relief. This Weds. I will have an epidural in my lower spine. I will be sedated and the needle will be guided by x-ray. I'm scared. Has anyone had this procedure that can assure me it works?

I'm feeling better as long as I don't let the meds wear off. The doctor says that doesn't mean I'm better because the drugs just mask the symptoms.

In spite of this, I have stuck to the meal replacement diet (99.9%) my ins. company ordered and I've lost 6# in two weeks. Thanksgiving was tough. I was at my daughter's and the fragrance of everything cooking was driving me nuts. Here at home, in my cocoon I don't have to deal with that. Anyway I cheated... I had 3 bites of Black Forest ham. Hard to feel guilty since it tasted so good!

Well, I'll be glad to have this behind me so I can start walking and doing water aerobotics. I'm starting to feel like a slug.

Please remember me in your prayers on Weds. Thanks, Dianne
