1 week post op and all is well

I am so hapy for you. My surgery is scheduled for Nov 23 and I am getting so excited. How did you get so dehydrated in the hospital? How did you know you need ed to go back to the hospital? Keep me posted on your progress. What did you pre-op diet look like. Were you on clear liquids for the last 3 days?

What to Do Now. Help Please

Sounds like you had a great chat! It is a shame that all this came to fruition during this time of year. Might have been much easier for you in the summer (and you could be a few months post-op!)

I don't know if you guys have it, but there is a product here called Cold Ease that I really love. It is full of Vitamin C and Zinc and such and you dissolve it in water like Alka Selzer and drink it. It tastes okay to me in just regular cold water, but is more palatable in hot tea. Just a thought.

What to Do Now. Help Please

Hey lady..

I'm so glad Aj has called you, hopefully, put some of your worries at rest.
Now about this cold, you need to blitz it out of you like no ones business.
I tend to favour day nurse and night nurse capsules, they are over the counter and damn good. If you prefer home remedies, try steaming over a hot hot bowl of water a few times at night, thats when things tend to be worse. Try doing it in the morning also to get the old pipes working.
Also drink hot water with a squeezed lemon in it, helps with the cold also a good detoxifier, if you want to sweeten it try a few drops of honey.

I hope this helps. Keep ya head up not long now

Ebs xx

I'm Feeling Numb Now - In Limbo

New Date - and battling with the cold.

Coolady2007

I must thank you for your words of encouragement. You'll be pleased to know you were right. I now have a new surgery date for 30th November and I will now have a new pre-assessment date on 20th Nov.

I don't know whether you've read my most recent blog, but I have a new cold and am now fighting this new battle of the cold. Anyway, I've got about 7 days before pre-assessment to work on it.

Thanks again.

Don't get discouraged. You have to remember the bigger people (like myself) tend to loose faster in the begining but once they have lost their first 100 pounds or so it becomes a struggle. Every body is different so every body will react differently to different things. Don't be discouraged, remember you are probably losing inches which is far better than the weight because maybe you are building muscle (if you are working out). Either way lift your head up and look at what you've accomplished this far. You are amazing and you will continue to do amazing things. Don't let other people get you down. All you can do is your best and the rest shall follow. Good job!
