Anxiety!!! When will I be excited

Posted 12-12-2007 at 06:27 AM by StellaB
I had my surgery 6 days ago. I am having terrible anxiety, yesterday blood pressure went up to 193/120. I still hurt, but can't take the pain medicine. It made me feel worse than I do now. I'm so scared I didn't make the right choice. I don't know if I am just being a baby or if everyone feels this way. I want to be excited for the weight I have already lost, will this pass?

Hi Stella, I was in the hospital for a week and the same thoughts ran through my mind. It is normal, you are normal, and yes, it does hurt. Let me tell you what though. Now, I am two months out, around 75 lbs lighter, and feel great. If I have a bad day...so what. I made a positive choice for my future, and you did too. Keep your chin up, and fear not. It scares me more thinking I may be skinny one day and won't recognize myself, but I think I'll deal with that. Katie

Thanks Katie, I really needed to hear that. Today is a new day and I honestly feel 100% better. I went out to run errands for a couple hours with my daughter and getting out lifted my spirits too.
Congrats on 75 POUNDS! I haven't weighed, but it has been a week today and I know I have lost...the excitement is setting in.
Thanks for your great attitude, I could learn a thing or two from you. Stella
