I went and walked a local mall (Greece Ridge Mall here in Rochester, NY) with a friend. I walked the WHOLE mall!

We stopped, and I weighed myself on a set of scales. Subtracting a few pounds for clothes and pocket contents, I weighed 310 pounds!!!

I had a WOW moment already!

I went for a walk around a thrift store this afternoon. I found a pair of size 48 slacks that were just right for me to wear to work. They had the elastic in the sides, too. A little long, but hey, pants can be shortened. So, I bought them. I got them home, and tried them on. THEY FIT!!!! A little snug, but they will be perfect for me in a little while.

This week has been a good week for me.

I started back to work on Wednesday, the 18th. So many people told me they could see the weight loss in my face and neck already. I haven't been super tired after work, but I've attributed the tiredness I have to getting up at 3:30 am to start work at 5 am. And, work has gone pretty well.

It has been a LONG day.

Had my first post-op appointment this morning. First, the weigh-in; my first since surgery. I weighed 321.6, so I am 19 pounds under my pre-op weight.

My appointment was with one of the bariatric center's PA's. She went over my next diet - pureed foods! YEAH! She also went over what supplements I'll need. She gave me a script for Foltrin, plus she told me I need both calcium citrate tablets as well as Vitamin D tablets.

Monday, March 2 - day of surgery
I had to be to the hospital by 9:45 am Monday morning, because my surgery was scheduled for 11:45 am. Dropped off my CPAP at the check-in desk.
