Wow, I just looked and it has been a few months since I blogged anything, guess I am slacking! Here I am 10 months post-op and very happy to report I am doing wonderful! I am down 110 pounds since my high on 8/19/08. I would have never in 100 years thought if you asked me earlier last year if I would lose over 100 pounds in 1 year! I feel so good and the energy is so freaking wonderful I can hardly contain myself! I am still on a half pill for BP but hope to be off that soon. I got to wear heels...

To plastic or not???

It's been a popular question lately. Should I look into to plastic surgery for my middle or not. My best guess, is that I have about 5 - 7 lbs of skin and fat around my middle. I am sure not comfortable with my body clothed and naked is even worse. I don't want my DH to look of touch me... But how can I afford the cost of surgery? Ball parking the cost at $6,000 - $8,000 for the lower body lift + additional money for the 4 - 6 weeks recovery and being out on disability. That's a whole lot of money...

I am about 4 months post op, down almost 100lbs!! My problem: the beast is coming back!! The beast being my appetite. In the last couple of weeks I've had more and more cravings for fattening foods. And my pouch seems to be growing as I can eat more. Up until now I've had the occasional cravings but they were always squashed by the pain after about a couple of bites. Now I am able to stuff more down my throat with little discomfort. I stepped on the scale for my weekly weigh in and for the first...

It's been a long time coming, but I finally have a surgery date.I started this process in feburary and now Im having my surgery on septemer 30th.I cant belive it.I've been wanting this for so long, and now that its coming closer,Im kinda scared.I know thats normal.I was surpose to lose 28 lbs but lost 40 lbs.I didnt think I could do it own my own. When I tell my friends that I finally gotten a surgery date, they say I should do it on my own, being that I lost the 40lbs by myself. What they fail to realize...
