I am as of today seven months out of surgery and my weight as of today is 195 pounds...
I went into surgery weighting 295. I lost a total of 100 pounds.
I cannot say it was easy, avoiding the fatty foods, the chocolates, the cookies and pastries and coke. I had lots of times i wanted just a little piece, I mean what can a little piece do to me...blow me back up..lol but i didn't. I decided to change my whole life around when i went in for the surgery and i am keeping my vows to stay...

Well it will be 10 months on Monday 8/31. I am 141 lbs right on the nose! No longer overweight, just inside the normal range for my height. OMG - I never imagined. Actually I remember last year trying not to daydream about what it could be like or where I would be after the surgery. I was very intent on the process at hand and trying to keep up with the doctors and the insurance.

I am here 10 months later, through a lot of bumps in the emotional road, but I am about 104 lbs down...

So i reached my the half way mark on my weightloss yesterday, and granted I am extremely happy about this I have lost 55lbs all together and 40lbs since surgery.. But i just dont feel It.. I took pictures and i clearly look better.. but i just feel so flabby and gross and idk. I know its completely normal to not notice your own weightloss.. but i really want to!! im sure that once more weight has come off and i keep up with the exercising ill start to notice it more on myself. So I am sitting here listening to Pink's song "Sober". I love her, she does not care what people think about her and always speaks her mind. Both qualities I can relate to. While I have never struggled with a drug or alchohol addiction, in a sense food was my drug. My friend, comfort and the one thing I could always count on. RIP, I don't "need" you anymore to function and thrive!

today is my first day back at work. as a nanny, i can plan my day and schedule at my leisure, and boy am i thankful for that!!
