Posted 07-03-2009 at 11:21 PM by Thinthingirly
I am so tired but wanted to write quickly because I have been so bad about writing every day.

Today I found out that my best freind from birth hasHodgkin’s Lymphoma. As a result I ate almost everything that wasn’t nailed down… and then some. I am sure that I was over 1000 calories and I didn’t just have liquids…

For the next three days I will be hard-core fasting and drinking as many clear liquids as I can.

I will keep my calories to a minimum and hope...

Posted 07-03-2009 at 11:18 PM by Thinthingirly
So today my liquid diet started in earnest. This morning I had a smoothie, with soymilk, and it came out to 50 +70+32 = 152 and then I had a cup of pea soup which probably had about 100 calories and then a Popsicle. So in total I by 12:30pm I had 252.

Around 4pm I had the last white peach that I bought over the weekend. I shouldn’t have… but I had to have it sort of. Peaches have about 50 calories so by 4:04pm I had eaten about 302 calories.

Posted 07-03-2009 at 11:15 PM by Thinthingirly
So last night we had our three best friends to dinner... they were visiting from out of town and it was a very special occasion. I made pesto with potatoes and beans and a big plate of tomatoes and a salad with white truffle vinaigrette and peaches.

Oh and blueberry pie as well.

Not so healthy but not so unhealthy actually either. Very little fat no meat and mostly vegetables! I wonder if I will be able to eat like this when I am done with the surgery and have healed......

Posted 07-03-2009 at 11:12 PM by Thinthingirly
I can’t believe it is Thursday already. I am having a lot of trouble sleeping… I think I am super nervous about the whole process I am undertaking. I know it is good for me and that I will be happy when it is over, but I am still nervous about it and I think I will miss making food and trying new things… but I bet that I can still do that some day, just not so soon.

I have been having trouble sleeping in general but this evening I am glad actually because our puppy got really sick...

Post #5... I am freaking out...

Posted 07-03-2009 at 11:10 PM by Thinthingirly
I have spent the morning in bed. If I can’t get to the food I can’t eat it. I did have a protein shake, and I had a sugar free Popsicle. Total calories for the day: 182+25= 207 calories so far. Yay! I ended up eating another protein shake and also another Popsicle as well as a Jell-O cup… so in total before dinner I had 424. I also worked out for 45 mins and burned 600 calories. And then dinner rolled around and I had to have pizza… embarrassing but true. So we got pizza and I had three pieces,...
