Almost can see the finish line....

Although it has been less than two months since I started this whole process, it has seemed much longer. Between getting up enough courage to tell my Mom that I was interested in getting the Lap Band, to having my consult, then my upper GI series/Gallbladder done, to meeting with a Psychiatrist for the "okay".....it has been a bumpy road. I am still not sure that the Psychiatrist thought I was ready for the surgery, but I will know soon enough. Infact, I will be seeing her again in...

One month after surgery.

Posted 07-05-2009 at 02:38 PM by RIXterra
Well I have my final weight loss total for one month out of surgery. I've lost a total of 50lbs.. I'm totaly happy with that number I think. I really wanted to lose the 50 lbs. and I've now set another goal.

Goal number two is that I'm going to Florida in Sept and would love to at least hit 300 lbs. Which for me would be another 65lbs.. But hopefully having the two months to go until the trip. I should be able to lose it...

One week post op lap band

Posted 07-05-2009 at 02:55 AM by elleaitch
I can hardly believe in one week my weight loss has been 15 pounds. It's not natural, it's not normal and it's incomprehensible but it's also wonderful. 2 days on fluids and lack of appetite for 4 days have contributed to it and so I go with the flow. I have no band fill yet, that is to happen on August 12. What I like about this is that I haven't felt hungry yet. This morning I heard my tummy growling but that 'need to eat and eat now' sensation was not accompanying the growl.
I went shopping...
