pre-op goals

Posted 10-26-2009 at 04:07 PM by kovy
in no particular order....

~stay on top of all appointments to the best of my ability so it really will be "about a two-month process" like the dr. said.
~start walking a MINIMUM of two days a week on the three mile track
~start up with the couch to 5k program...if knees will allow
~begin shopping healthier for the family so it's not such a shock to everyone's system once i'm post-op and able to eat food again.
~get josh on here so he knows why...

here i go...

Posted 10-26-2009 at 03:59 PM by kovy
I suppose blogging would be the next logical step now that i've joined TT. i'll be getting as much knowledge in as i can beforehand, and trying to prepare myself as much as possible for life post-op, but there are bound to be bumpy times coming my way...i mean, such is life. my emotions are already running the gamut, i can't even begin to really imagine what it is going to be like once i am on the other side heading toward my goals.

speaking of goals...i should prolly set some....

Denise's Journey

Posted 10-25-2009 at 04:09 PM by djjmak
My journey is just beginning- I went to the seminar in August, found out my insurance won't cover it in September and made the decision to self pay in October. I am scheduled for surgery November 17th. I have done all of my labs, upper GI, chest X Ray, etc... Everything looks good- iron is low so I have to get that up before surgery. I am very excited but a little concerned about the protein shakes can anyone give me some advice as to the best tasting shakes- I have never liked shakes, malts, smoothies-...
