August 26, 2009 - The Day My Life Changed

Posted 10-31-2009 at 01:46 PM by Leboire
My surgery was at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake, New York, USA. I was 63 years old, had just had a hysterectomy in March, had attended classes at AMC for 22 months with my daughter and had been overweight my whole adult life. When I was a child, my brothers called me fat, and of all the names they chose for me, that one stuck with me and I always thought I was - even when I got married at 123 lbs., I thought of myself as fat. OCtober 30th 2009

Posted 10-30-2009 at 10:43 PM by djjmak
Well, a week has passed since I posted last. Been a long week. Had to take my 10 year old daughter into the hospital in the middle of the night on the 24th for emergenc surgery. We are home now- but it was really hard to eat what I was suppose to when I didn't leave her hospital room for 3 days.... I attempted to call my doctor today to make sure everything is still a go for the 17th. I was not able to get through. I will call again on Monday... 18 days to go. I am sooooo excited

September 2009 I found out that my husbands employer excludes any type of weight loss surgery- I cried, and cried....

October 2009 I found out the gastric...

Still A Wanna Be.

Posted 10-30-2009 at 07:20 PM by Hychap2009
Here I am again folks. Still a 'wanna be'. As you know already I had was just getting over a cold the day I arrived for my surgery and was sent home. Well I was expecting to hear from the hospital this week as they had promised (Dr AJ), but not a 'dicky bird'. The only reason I didn't call him was the fact that have caught another cold again, its just that it's that time of the year, when the weather is so unpredictable, warm one minute and cold the next, this always as an impact on my health....
