Another step forward…

Today I saw my doctor. No big deal, right? Well, nothing exciting happened there today but it was a milestone. It has been six months since I first walked in that office and said I was considering WLS. Back in March when I first talked with my insurance coordinator I thought it would take forever to get through six months. Knowing the countless ways I had already tried and failed at losing weight I wasn’t sure I wanted to “waste” six months going through it...

So a bit of a setback in trying to get this through my insurance company. The notes I had form my meeting with the surgeon said that I would require the psych exam as part of the pre-op. Earlier this week they tell me that it needs to be done and submitted with the insurance pre-approval package. I called for two days trying to get the appointment scheduled and the best they could do was to get me in on 30 October. I just hate starting to run down a path and having a huge rock coming rolling...
