Hard to believe I am 10 1/2 months post op (Gastric Bypass)..and wow..the transformation that has taken place!!! Of course not without the bumps and hiccups along the way (I am still known as the "problem child" in my surgeon's office) but so well worth the journey.  I am now down over 100 lbs and my BMI has gone from a 44 the day...

So, September 15th was my 7 month post gastric bypass hurdle. I am down 89 lbs now. I weighed this morning at 130.1...and this past weekend fit into a size 2. Some days I am amazed and thrilled, other days  I get panicky and fearful, especially when everyone keeps telling me "its time to stop."  My parents are scared I am "wasting away"...

So, yeah. I am finally past my 6 month mark and am fast approaching 7 months. What a journey and one so worth taking! I am now down 81 lbs. Weight loss has slowed some but still coming off. Eating has become easier and I now incorporating more foods back into my diet. Still a lot I can't eat, but that is OKAY by me...better off without them,...

You know, I am now 33 almost 34 days post op, and I would give my right arm to feel really good.  But I don't. I know, its a journey....its a challenge...its a change....but darn it...I read posts and hear how everyone is feeling good and out and about and enjoying their "new lives..." and I struggle to...

So, today I had my 1 month post op visit with my awesome Surgeon....(he calls me his problem child since I have had several hiccups along the way).....but today, I felt GREAT....and to have him pull out my preop photo and say "Wow, you look like a totally different person" made me feel even better.  Down 33 pounds...

So, after 4 days of throwing up everything (and I mean everything that wasn't water), my doctor ordered and endoscopy for this morning....low and behold, the endoscopy revealed a stricture/stenosis at the opening of my pouch/stoma.  It wasn't letting anything but pure liquid thru, not even pureed or soft foods.  The GI doctor dialated the stricture...

Finally...at 19 days post op I am finally feeling good again. Still not all the way human, but well on my way. Last night I actually slept thru the night, and on my side at that.  Woke up- tired, but in no pain. Bloating and gas was minimal today. Soreness and tenderness also minimal. Fatigue is till astronomically high, but I hear that will be the case for...

I am 17 days post op RNY now, and I wish I could report that I feel GREAT...but I don't.  I finally got over the kidney infection, and the excruciating sharp pain in my right side. Went away almost as quickly as it began, but for the last 2 days I have been so bloated and feel such pressure in my abdomen I am so miserable.  I want to ride my bike, walk...
