Unhappy Post-op weight loss plateau

I had surgery 2-12-08 and have lost 65 lbs. Great! but I havent lost anything for about two months :-( Is this normal? Why would my body stop losing like this? I have been reading this forum since February and I have heard others stopped at this particular pounds 65 lbs.

Default Not losing

You've reached a plateau. There's nothing magical about 65 pounds. Sooner or later everyone reaches a plateau. At a plateau your energy intake is equal to your energy use. To break a plateau, you have to eat less and/or increase your activity.

Get back to basics: three small meals a day, no snacking, no liquids with meals, eat protein, then vegetables, and avoid too many carbs. Food should be bulkier rather than more liquid. Avoid calorie containing liquids.

Do you have a pedometer? Can you get anywhere near 10,000 steps in a day? Tougher in the winter. Treadmill?

Most people can break a plateau. I'll hope for the best for you.

From what I have read, its pretty normal as you get further out from surgery, you will hit stalls. Good luck though!!!

Have you recently been eating more or introduced different foods? How is your water intake? I have also heard that sometimes plateaus are your body readjusting itself to the weightloss. Just some ideas. Hopefully things will start moving along for you again soon.
