I'm glad you asked this question, I am also very early out and eat very little, but to look at the scale, it wouldn't seem so. Any ways every day for me is different, yesterday for lunch I was able to eat about half of a turkey burger(only the meat) and about two teaspoons of cottage cheese, then for dinner I consumed about two tablespoons of chicken and 3/4 oz of cheese and a bite of baked potato. I eat very slow, at least 30 minutes for each meal. I feel like a cow some times because I just chew and chew and chew. There are some days that the food hurts so bad going down that I will go back to cream soups or even liquids for the day.
