I agree that after you are further out and can handle the additional amount of food, then yes, you need a well balanced diet. At four months out, Bridgetgirl is still on the rapid weight loss and needs the extra protein for sustained energy, and then to fit in what veggies and fruit if there's room. The FDA food pyramid says we need 6-11 servings of bread, cereal, rice and pasta a day, so I wouldn't put a whole lot of faith into that system. The FDA I understand is about to change it all around soon anyway.
