Default nutrition

I have to say protein is important. I think in the morning you should have protein to get you through the morning and the day. In the morning is when i have my most protein. It lasts me until lunch and keeps me full until lunch because that's my longest stretch of the day without eating.
Secondly, my surgery was in april 2003 and i am done loosing weight. i'm where i want to be. I have gone to a nutritionst and even though we're gastric bypass patients, once we get to where we want to be we do need to eat nutritionally and have the 5 servings of fruit, vegs, etc. i had a hard time stabilizing my weight once i was done loosing and kept loosing because i was eating way too much protein and not enough of the fruits, vegs, and carbs, etc. needed to maintain my weight. once i changed my diet to a more balanced diet including fruits, vegs and carbs my weight stabalized and i stopped loosing. so i do disagree that as gbp patients we don't need to eat nutriionally and should concentrate on protein first. we need to focus on all food groups. that has been my experience at least.
