I'm still a pre-op, a mere newbie, so I sure hope it's okay to rub shoulders with you venerable post-ops on this section of the board!
Have any of you post-ops had a colonoscopy after your WLS? I'm scheduled to have one about six months after my RNY and I'm worried. Not about the 'scope - I've had them before and if the doc doesn't mind peering up my bum, then I'm fine with it too.
What worries me is the stuff. You know, that dreaded gallon of goopy prep solution you have to drink the day before the 'scope to clear out your intestine. Can you take all that stuff in your tiny pouch?
Does it make you dump? I mean, I know the stuff is
intended to induce loose stools - that's the whole point of it, after all- but does it give you the other dumping symptoms like the shakes and vomitting?
