Seems like ice cream is one of those things that most post ops have some kind of reaction to.
Fellow staplers that I have talked to as well as myself find that ice cream just does not sit well.
Reasons we think can incklude the fact that it combines all the components of possible dumping. It is high in sugar, fat and lactose, even the low sugar variety has natural occuring sugar in the milk product.
At any case the most I can tolerate is about 3 table spoon bites.
