Hi all,

I've been lurking around this website for about a month now and after phone calls to my insurance about qualifying, I keep getting dull answers that don't make sense, so I'm turning to you all

I have Tricare ins., which I hear is pretty easy to get approved, but my major concern is my weight. At 209lbs, I hardly see anyone on here the same weight and size as I am, which is 5'2. I'm supposed to be 100lbs over my "ideal weight" (Tricare doesn't go by BMI) and a co-morbidity. I get different answer as to what my "ideal weight" should be. The answers range from 101lbs to 127lbs. I just don't want to get my hopes up if I'm not 100lbs over...I am scheduled to go to a seminar here in houston next month and will ask the same question there too, but I'm just so anxious!

I've researched the pros and cons of the surgery, obesityhelp.com was able to provide many experiences, good and bad, and I have decided the surgery is def for me. I have been overweight my whole life and tried diet after diet. I was just diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis, which is a foot condition caused by being overweight. I have yet talked to my Dr about WLS, but am too scared to for some reason, I guess b/c I'm scared he'll say I am underweight. I don't have any other major co-morbidities other then my feet/knees/back problems. Any suggestions would get great! Thanks!
