It could very easily be your cycle. I know for me, before surgery it was nothing to put on 5 lbs before my menses. It could also be that your body is trying to catch up with itself. I haven't had a plateau yet but I sure have read this board often enough to know that it isn't uncommon for it to happen in early post-op. The PA at my doctor's office also told be not to be surprised if it happened. Your body basicly needs to time to catch up with the weight loss. You lose so much right away that your body thinks you are starving so it doesn't give up those lbs as fast. Once your body catches up with what really is going on it will let go of it's tight grasp on those pounds.  Just try to be patient.
