I had complications within a few hours after the TT....bled out and needed transport to ER with 4 units of blood. Then the 20 lbs of water retention, which stretched all the incisions out. That then led to many areas of the incisions to open up and leave 1/2 - 3/4 inch scars in back. Plus, the swelling rubbed against the sutures and some of the sutures eroded into the skin. I hope that this time the sutures will hold and stay together so i can have a thin scar line that's easier to hide. Plus, I get a little bit of a butt lift too! Ireally had to watch the sodium intake...would retain water very quickly if I went over 2 grams of sodium a day. It took 6 months for the retention to completely resolve and I'm still numb all around where the incisions are. It can take over a year to get al the nerves reconnected.
