unfortunately, even a small amount of sugar gives me a pouch ache. I try to avoid it. Those sugar alcohols are not a good thing for me either. Just figuring out what will work for you is an exhausting job in itsself. I guess Im still considered a diabetic, although I am so stable now I havent needed my insulin since sx, and I noticed the sug. alch. really elevates my sugars.
My husband has remained 150 pounds for the last 18 yrs, and sometimes it gets very hard to see him eat something I cant, and chocolate is one of them, chocolate I can chew! Hes no longer alowed to eat burger king burgers in the car with me along, that was torture. I wish there was a veggie that tasted like choc, my dream come true.
