yes, there is a big difference and if I'm wrong, someone please correct me....however, in "no sugar added" foods, there is naturally occurring sugar (let's say in Breyer's no sugar added ice cream, where the sugar is coming from the dairy product)....and that naturally occurring sugar may irritate your pouch.....

sugar free foods have non-sugar additives in them to make them sweet like aspartame, splenda, nutra-sweet, etc....some people find that these additives can make them ill, some people have no problems...I myself only use Splenda because it's made from sugar, but doesn't affect the body the way sugar does...and I've read alot about aspartame to steer clear of it as well-I read a study once that suggested aspartame makes you feel hungrier....hope that helps
