That's where you swallow the contrast and they fluoroscope it or x-ray it as it travels down through your pouch. Done the next day after surgery. It's to make sure they didn't leave any openings in your staple lines or sutures. A friend of mine showed nothing on the leak test, however, but had one - ended up with peritonitis, etc. Luckily, they caught it before she left the hospital, turned her lap RNY into an open, and fixed the problem, then slapped her in the ICU for a few days. She's doing great now.
