They made me try to get up as soon as I got back to my room. The morphine from the pain pump made me extremely sick to my stomach and as soon as I got up and got across the room I started to dry heave really really bad. Not a good feeling on a freshly operated on pouch. It didn't hurt b/c of the pain meds but it felt so sickly and it was so scary.
Anyway, they took out the morphine the next morning and within hours I was feeling much better and could walk without dry heaving.
Like Suzy, by the 2nd day I was pretty much running laps around the floor, it felt so good to move. About 11am the 3rd day I got to go home, and I live about 140 miles away from my surgeon.

In maintenance... now I'm yo-yoing up and down 10 lbs or so. I'm trying to find out how to stay at a set weight, it's rough.
