While you are losing and waiting for that glorious day of plastic surgery, do what you can to get yourself into the best shape possible. Like my Doctor said "If you don't have good muscle tone underneath the skin, what am I sculpting?" Makes sense to me. Losing weight is the somewhat easy part of weight loss surgery, gaining muscle tone is the hard part that we must all do to be successful in weight loss and/or appearance afterwards. Plastic surgery, like gastric bypass are not "miracle cures" they still both take a lot of hard work and dedication to achieve the best possible results. So I encourage anyone and everyone who either wants plastic surgery in the future or even if you don't if you want the best possible results from the surgery itself, get out there and exercise like you have never exercised before. Build up good muscle mass and tone your body before even considering such a proceedure. Like the Doctor told me, exercising and toning up before hand prevents "less than desireable" outocmes afterwards. Just want everyone to look and feel their best. That is why I posted this to get everyone started on the exercise band wagon, also sometimes you can do a less invasive proceedure if you start toning now. They have ways around doing large incisions in certain areas if you tone up good and "give them something to work with" as Dr. McCarthy put it.
Just my two cents..
