I went to see my PCP for the 1st time today and he referred me to the bariatric surgeon for my medical group! I was so nervous that my weight might be borderline but instead I had gained 5 pounds.
Was I in denial, probably. I also found out that I have high blood pressure and the doctor prescribed medication. Not so thrilled about that.
My PCP said that I should receive the approval in the next two weeks. I know the wait will feel like forever! I was tempted to ask my PCP to expedite the referral but I restrained myself. I think I'll just call the office tomorrow and ask when they will send the request and if they will call me when they receive it.
Anyway, I just wanted to share.......
