I am nine months out and still struggle with it feeling real. I know I look different and feel better but I don't always see it, not even when I look at myself in the mirror. I had a friend see me today that hadn't seen me since before my surgery. She went crazy and said she wouldn't even know me in the streets. I don't think I look that different. It is so strange to me. I did decide to start seeing a therapist to help me see myself as I really am, and not a fat person. I have been heavy all my life and I think that is how I always identified myself. So to answer you question, it could be awhile before you come to terms with it, but you will, and the weight lose is great!!! Good luck!!!!!!!!!!
