And - of those of you working out now, did any of you work out before the surgery at all? I am hoping being in better shape will help my recovery. I mean, I'm doing 60 -80 crunches a day - I sure couldn't do that two months ago, so I hope it will help.

I did Curves pre-op, but fell off the wagon a bit here and there with other surgeries, crappy eating, and weight gain. I went back after the bypass in 6 weeks and felt just fine. I was told nothing extremely hard on the abdomen for 4 months post-op. When I gave examples they said everything at Curves was fine, but things like a rowing machine would be a no-no.
