Hi Paulette,
Welcome to the forum. You are going to find that a lot of people here will support you in one way or another. It might just start with you going out there and reading all of the different posts we have posted on line. You will also find that several of us have experienced what you have experienced and can bring you support in many different ways.

I had surgery 9 weeks ago today. I will tell you that it is something that I do not regret having and would recommend it to anyone that is considering it. I'm so glad to hear that you are already scheduled and you know that you are having it open. My husband is now in the process of getting everything together for dictation to take place. He has seen how well it's gone for me and is also ready to live a longer, healthier life with me and our four kids.

If you need anything please do not hesitate to ask us. We have several people here in different stages of their recovery and that are post-op like you. We are good listeners and good advice givers.
