The one thing I always try to remember is that I'm doing this surgery for me, not for the approval of others (not that I've ever cared what others have thought about my physical appearance). Your sister will come around, especally when she sees and hears your happiness. She's probably more scared of your transformation than jealous. She doesn't want to lose you, the person she has known all her life. I'm going through the same thing with my best friend. Knowing how I'm going to change is making her a little uncertain.
On another note, I also gained weight! I went in feeling a little
ashamed, but they never even mentioned it! I feel like I've won the lottery and that I don't have to pay taxes.
