Thank you guys so much for the info. Even before my surgery (I'm 3 months out), I became obsessed with shows like Plastic Surgery: Before and After on Discovery Health Channel and Dr 90210 on E!. I've been wondering how difficult it would be to get the insurance companies to pay for the surgery--there's no way I could have it if I had to pay for it myself. Your responses have been very encouraging. I can't wait until it's my turn!

But, does anyone have any information about which insurance companies give easier times than others? I am about to start a new job which, coincidentally, is with a health insurance company. This company, while I was an employee of another company, approved my WLS with ease (no appeals). But, this insurance company does not cover WLS for its employees (I have a friend that has worked there for years, which is why I refused to leave my past employer until after my WLS). Am I going to have as difficult a time as I think I will?
