Default Water Loading

So I read the Pouch Rules for Dummies and wondering how many of you follow the water loading - before you eat your meals. I am finding so much information that contradicts other information. IE: to sip water throughout the day and not 2 hrs before or 2 hrs after vs. water loading to let the pouch feel full.

Another area states that exercise doesn't really make that much of a difference to weight loss in the first 12-18 months. Others say, start right away as soon as you can exercising after surgery. I certainly don't think it would harm us any.

Another is to eat all your protein first, then veggies/fruit and then starchy carbs. The dummies says to eat 1/2 your meal protein, then 1/4 of each of the others alternating bites of each so that the food doesn't stick together.

And to top it all off, I read that we are supposed to eat all our meal within 15 minutes. I have read many a time that we need to eat slow, chew and take up to an hour to eat. The shorter time makes for sense....but why such differences?

I can assume that its all different for each of us. The dummies indicates that we will have failure if we fail to understand and implement the water loading and if we don't fully understand it, then regain is high.

Can someone enlighten me? I leave tomorrow for my consult apt and won't be back here for a few days, and will check in then....with a surgery date...yippeee..

Take Care all and congrats to the many of you who have posted your surgery dates!
