Sorry guys, but I didn't want to start a new topic just for little ole me so I thought I'd post an update in a previous thread of mine
I'm still awaiting insurance approval, as you can see, and have been since Halloween
. I received a letter last weekend from insurance, letting me know that there is still information they need to process my request - both the phsychological testing results and proof of attempted weight loss. So, i've been bugging the folks at the WLS clinic for the past week, and finally found out today that for some reason, they neglected to include those things in the fax they sent off to insurance. Dumb! I also found out that they only included 1 month's worth of medical records from my PCP's office as well.
I hear it said over and over, but it is SO true about a person being their own best advocate! Anyway, I called my PCP and they faxed over the rest of my records. I also faxed the WLS clinic my records again from Weight Watchers (pray that they accept these even though they are from 2003) and my psychologist will also fax my records over on Monday. If all goes well, the second (and hopefully, final) fax will be sent to insurance seeking approval and I can get this darn ball rolling! Please cross your fingers for me everyone!
