Default Welcome...

You are officially a member of our group of losers! I'm two weeks ahead of you, I had my surgery on the 9th of August. At 4 weeks you should be on soft foods, Dr. Callery's suggestions. Like Christina said, white soft fish, cod, halibut, shrimp, potted meats, really well cooked veggies, squashes, eggs, crisp bacon, crisp crackers, butter not margarine, protein drinks (if you can stomach them), beans, legumes, fat free refried beans (one of my favorites), and white cheeses, if I recall. No bread, pasta, orange juice, or red meat. Drink lots of water. The rule is protein first, veggie next, fruit, and carbs if there is room. At 6 weeks, yea!, you can introduce your pouch to red meat, like Kelly says, in the privacy of your home and fresh veggies. Drink water.

I've almost finished a spread sheet that explains everything in one place. I'll try to finish that up and post it for all the newly post ops.

Again welcome. I thought I saw your name come up in the chat room. I hope you'll join us tomorrow at noon.
