Probably not a plateau...
I know this may not make you feel any better, but it doesn't sound like a plateau. If you're noticing size differences, then you're still losing inches. You and I had surgery around the same time and I notice that my weight loss slows down about every 6 weeks, but I continue to lose inches during that time. I spent almost 3 weeks at 235 and then finally dropped 5 lbs this past week, so I know the frustration. I've seen other posts mention that it's not a true plateau unless you haven't had any weight or inches loss in at least 4 weeks.
It doesn't sound like you're measuring yourself (maybe you are.) I have a consistent schedule of weighing and measuring myself every Saturday morning. Just this morning, I figured out that I've lost 76.5 inches since 7/28/04 - that is almost more amazing to me than the 87 lbs that I've lost! You may want to think about measuring yourself regularly. Introducing new activity into my life always seems to result in inches lost, but maybe not pounds. I'm happy with either, as inches lost results in a slimmer, leaner look, regardless of what I weigh. I think that if you start to measure, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Good luck!
