Default How much can you eat – more than 2 bites?? CONFUSED

Hi

I'm new here and have been reading for a while. I think you all are a great group and hope you don't mind me joining.

My surgery was approximately 2 weeks ago on September 19, 2005. I heal really well and fast luckily and I have had no problems so far.
Actually, that is my problem, I almost feel as if I didn’t even have the surgery.

Per my doctor’s instructions I am on soft foods now as well as protein drinks still. I don’t feel like I have any restriction yet although I know I am not the same and it freaks me out. When I eat scrambled eggs, I can eat one whole egg and I thought I was only supposed to be able to eat only a few bites?

So my anxiety is that I fear I have no restriction or can eat too much though I am not about to try to see how far.

My question is, how much am I supposed to be able to eat post-op???? it is so confusing. Is it a couple of bites, ¼ cup, ½ cup???
Can any of you give me examples of how much you were able to eat within your first month?? Also don’t feel like I have any sensitivity to sugar. I try to stay within 5-10g sugar and not higher within any given thing I eat, but I have been higher a few times and have had no reaction.

I feel like they did the surgery but didn’t? Is this normal or is it just me?

Thanks for any help!
