Goober- here's my take on the popcorn thing- post op it will be physically impossible for you to eat more than a handful. End. Of. Story.

You will be shocked when, immediately post-op it will be extremely difficult to even SIP fluids- it will be painful beyond belief! So yes, when you get to about 3 months out, a few bits of popcorn (or the like) will be a treat, albeit a small one.

We're not all perfect, and while at first it is easy, easy, easy to refuse "bad" food choices.... at a few months out it is AMAZING to feel like hey, I can have a bite of that bad food and be totally 100% satisfied and move on! Woohoo! At least that's where I'm at and it feels great. Just follow the rules and don't BUY the junk for having at home. Thats when it becomes a very slippery slope!
