Tomorrow for me! I'm trying not to be nervous, but this will be my first time ever to be completely out with anesthesia.
When people have asked me if I was nervous, I told them it was like going bungee jumping or sky diving. If you think about it while you are standing on the edge, you will probably talk yourself out of it. BUT, if you just go with the flow, just walk out and jump off the edge, you do it and get it over with. Most people are glad that they did it afterwards. I've never been bungee jumping or sky diving before either though!
I'm still waiting for my surgery time - the hospital is supposed to call me today with my arrival and surgery time.
I've also came down with a nice ear infection since yesterday afternoon. I've had many of these before, and can tell that my ear is swollen shut or almost shut. So, I'm off to my PCP around lunch to get a wick put in to open it up for antibiotics. My wife is a nurse, and said it shouldn't be a problem getting the anti's in for the infection since I will more than likely be on antibiotics during and probably right after surgery.
Best wishes to all the last few days who had their surgeries.
