You did not mention how much you weigh now bigdog. But like any surgery there are always risks. I personally had to weigh the risk of dying from a heart attack, or stroke, or diabetes complication (as my grandmother had) or having the surgery and dying if it was suppose to be that way. That was my thinking .. I was gonna die if I did nothing... so all I can say is two months post op and almost fifty pounds gone I would have it done again if I had to.
With nine kids do them a favor and have the surgery so you can see them grow up and see your grandchildren.
