[I] know the waiting is very hard. Ihad to go to 3rd appeal to get my insurance to approve me. the good news is that all the tests helped me relieve my anxiety about the surgery. After all the testing, I felt that I was a great candidate for the surgery. I felt as healthy as an obese person can be before surgery.
Be prepared for the emotional loss of food after surgery. I wasnt really ready for the tears I would shed because I couldn't eat. The first few months were really hard as I changed my life and found new ways to comfort myself during times of stress. It is still a struggle now that I am almost 6 months out. I do feel really great now and I am more than half way to my goal weight. I do still worry about the future and wonder will I be able to keep it off and continue with my new healthy lifestyle. I pray everyday that I will.

Hang in there and best of luck!

Deb
