Dear Quilterpam

The way the gastric sleeve was explained to me, was yes they will cut off between 75% and 85% of your stomach depending on where you have the procedure done. There is no cutting and re-routing involved, so your system will work just the same as before, just that the food capacity will have changed and you'd need to make some life style changes - equal to those who have the bypass. Your stomach (sleeve) will end up in the shape of a banana, hence the slight curviture to the stomach.
