Default 10 days! and funny things around me

So its been almost 10 days that )(*)(*()*&(*& scale keeps going back between 252 and 253.6 grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Eating and drinking perfectly, swimming biking and running 45 minutes a day with an avg HR of 130.

I can't get any better!

I hope tomorrow Friday my weekly day that I see if I've dropped that the scale finally shows some downward movement. My 2nd plateu I guess. Frustrating especially when I see others like BAMA that have lost so much so quickly.

On a side note this week. 4-6 times heard "wow! you look thin!" from people. In no way am I thin, gut, man boobs, lots o dough boy left.., but I guess others having seen how large I was before think this 56 lb lighter version of me is thin? I don't see it.

2 positives. I'm not preaching what I'm doing, I"m just doing it. My wife who I love to death is not into excercise (although she NEVER sits down) helping me to run out 2 sport clips franchises, working her full time job at a bank, me working my 2 jobs and having 3 great kids that we need to get to events, spend time with and she is our household engineer doing all things in the home...I don't know how she does it. Some neighbors joined a 5:30 - 6:30 Boot camp at a local park a few minutes from our home. A trainer kicks womens butt's and make em work out for that hour. My wife has NEVER EVER done something athletic that I can remember, my wife does NOT take direction well from others, especially when it comes to comments on her body or touching her body. She's a rather large gal, just like me, 3 kids, 2 jobs and the stress of me as her husband have helped her pack on the lbs as well. SHE JOINED THE GALS BOOT CAMP! I can't believe it, but she has, 3 times a week she's at the park at 5:30 A.M. letting a man grab her fat to determine her BMI, he makes her do leg lifts and stomach cruncher and Gasp RUN! and she seems to be enjoying the solitude of something for herself. I'm so proud of her...could my weight loss be helping her to want to help take care of herself? I was scared to death of not being around for my kids, I tried everything and did the surgery as diet and excercise didn't work for me. Now she's excercising a site I've never seen in all our years togethor (we started dating at age 13). I'm so proud of her. I've gently told her months ago that I was told by my doctor that 90% of all diet and excercise programs fail. I hope she is in that 10%, but if not, I would hope she would look into what WLS could do for her. It is LIFE changing. I feel like I've gained 10 years. I know that my heart and body have lost so much baggage that I won't have health problems. I wish the same for my wife. I'm so proud of her taking the first step! Now I just wish I could get my butt out of bed to go watch her do the boot camp thing, I think it may inspire me even more.

Lastly. so I also have an overweight son, He's a 10 yr old that is athletic, he plays hockey and is VERY active, no video games and very little tv for him, but alas he got me and my bank of bad habits as a dad and my gene pool, slow metabolism. I've been tryign to educate him on what he is choosing to eat and getting him on the scale, We haven't seen much movement. But tonight. I told him I was going to run, then bike then swim. I wanted him to go with me when he said, what burns more calories, I stated "running hand's down" My 10 yr old said ok, I want to run with you. He ran 2.5 miles with me! He pushed me to go faster...because that 10 yr old was kicking my butt and running faster then me. My own son was my personal trainer and he didn't even know it! We get a block from our home and we decided to race home. I'm thinking to myself.."don't embarrase the kid, but lets do this!" We sprint, I run the fastest I can,,but at 252 lbs it's more a fast gallop graceful fall forward...but we were neck and neck for about half a block, then he just blew me away. I've never run that fast since grade school, but he helped me to do it. He's helping me, now I just have to find a way to help him lose his weight.

WLS can help some amazing things happen. I'm very proud of my family.

Now that Darn scale has to start moving again!!!

I added 2 pictures of my son/personal trainer, he wanted me to shave his head in the 2nd picture....free entertainment for the family for 10 minutes.
