Apprantely, as part of the assessment they have gone through my medical records and discoverd a scan I had back in 2003 showing a shadow on my right ovary.
They would like to re-visit and do another scan as well as take some more bloods. Don't ask if this has not shook me up. I've been quite spaced out since. Of course I only really took in the negative bits. Later in the day I spoke to a friend that works at the hospital who was able to look up the letter they were about to send out to me - she read it to me and I was able to take it in this time. So they just want to be prudent and check for any tumors. This is all issues around my PCOS. They say they need to check as they don't wish to delay my surgery.
I've had a number of scares with relation to my ovaries in the past so please people pray that everything is alright. I'm due to go for this appointment this Friday at 1pm. OMG. In truth - and not in vain, Oh My God!

Hyacinth please don't jump to conclusions.
At my info night there was a lady in a similar situation to what you are in now.I forget the finer details but I know she was SO glad whatever it was had been picked up.If she hadn't of been going to have WLS she wouldn't have caught whatever it was in time. This lady ended up needing a hysterectomy and I think from memory cysts removed from her liver...???? One thing that bought me comfort was the thoroughness of the tests that they do.Anyway her surgery was a great success. It did delay her WLS for a few weeks or so BUT she lost heaps more weight than I have in much less time.
I had a hysterectomy a few years ago so if this happens to be where you are heading don't worry.I had open surgery and was a bit sore for a day or two only because I went home too early. My life was so much better after that op.I grieved after that for all the years I lost when all I had needed to do was give up that first body part!!It is a similar feeling to after you have WLS.If only you had done it earlier....
I joke that each time I have a body part removed I lose 10 years of aging with it.I am wondering what to have removed next!!!
Don't worry.It will work out.
Thinking of you.
