Welcome to the losers bench Slick! You sound like you are doing pretty well. Believe me I feel for you with the left side pain. I was up and walking the night of my surgery - but I was also in severe pain. I couldn't walk as far as I wanted and had to come back and sit down. I was in tears it hurt so bad. It felt like someone was ripping my side open.
I was told many people experience that intense left side pain for the first couple days because that is where the big instruments go in and the majority of the work is done through.
And they were right .. a couple days later I was fine.
