Hi Erika,

I don't know about the others (I've only been here a week or so), but I had to "re-train" my brain to think of food temptation differently, so that I can be satisfied by the *fantasy* of food rather than by the reality of eating it.

I mean (and I said this earlier too):

Don't try to deny your "head hunger." It's real; most of us were food addicts pre-op. Face it, embrace it -- I get great comfort from looking at cookbook pictures sometimes! Imagine how wonderful stuff tastes, because you know it does, there's no point lying to yourself! Then imagine yourself taking a nice big bite of whatever it is...and feeling sick, feeling nauseated, overfull, dumping, just whatever's your worst gross-out. So...which feels better post-op, imagining it or actually eating it? Practice this, and eventually the *idea* of the food will be enough to satisfy the "head hunger."

Trying so hard to get back on track, face that I can't do it alone, stop beating myself up for my failings... UPDATE: Well, after the 7 lb. drop last week, this week I didn't lose *anything*. Didn't gain, but it's discouraging.
