I've never truly 'dumped' like some people, but I do experience ill effects from certain foods from time to time. My dumping is when my heart rate goes up, I feel stuffed full and sometimes (albeit rarely) I get nauseous.

I agree with the others that you shouldn't be drinking and eating at the same time, even though I've done it too. I was eating Christmas cookies 6 weeks out but can't stomach cookies at all now. It seems I was able to eat more and a bigger variety of foods when I was post-op than I can now.

Do what your doctor says, even if you don't want to. My heart goes out to you with the colicky baby. I had twins that screamed for 4 months, so I can relate. I used to run out of the house when hubs came home from work every day. Thought I was going to go insane. They're 20 now. Good luck.
